About
Perfume Talks reviews niche perfumery — independent and artisanal houses, the materials they build with, and whether the results are worth what they cost. Three reviews a week.
What we cover
Fragrances you can actually buy in Europe, from houses that are doing something specific. We write for people who already buy fragrance and know what a note pyramid is — so we skip the primer and get to whether the drydown holds up.
How we assess
Every review covers the opening, the development through heart and drydown, longevity and sillage, the house and the perfumer behind it, and comparisons to fragrances you may already own. Then a verdict: who should buy it, and who should not.
How we verify
Prices, bottle sizes, concentrations, release years, and perfumer attributions are confirmed against primary sources — the house's own product page, or an established niche retailer — before publication. A search result is not a source. Where we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out rather than guess.
Retailer listings name shops that sell full bottles and ship within the EU. We do not list third-party decanters. Retailers are listed in no particular order and none is ranked above another.
